How do I troubleshoot a faulty ignition coil in my Audi 80?

I have been experiencing issues starting my Audi 80, and after some research, I believe it may be due to a faulty ignition coil. Can anyone provide recommended steps for diagnosing and replacing the faulty coil? Thank you in advance!

First, you'll need to check the connections on the coil to ensure they are secure. If they appear to be in good condition, use a multimeter to test the resistance of the coil. If the readings are not within the recommended range, it is likely a fault in the coil and it should be replaced.

Before replacing the coil, be sure to also check the spark plugs and wires to ensure they are not the source of the issue. Faulty spark plugs or wires can also cause starting issues and should be replaced if necessary.

If you are unsure about how to perform these checks yourself, it is always best to consult a professional mechanic. They will have the necessary tools and knowledge to properly diagnose and fix any issues with your Audi 80's ignition system.
