I just purchased a new Audi A8 and would like to know how to activate and use its Adaptive Cruise Control feature. Can someone guide me through the process step by step?
ReplyFirst, make sure your A8 is equipped with the adaptive cruise control option. Then, while driving, press the 'ACC' button on the bottom left side of the steering wheel and set your desired speed. To activate the adaptive function, press 'set' on the right side and take your foot off the accelerator pedal. Your car will now automatically maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front.
To deactivate the adaptive function, either press the brake or accelerator pedal, press the 'off' button or press the 'cancel' button on the steering wheel. It's always recommended to be attentive and have both hands on the steering wheel while using this feature.
If you want to adjust the following distance, simply use the '+' and '-' buttons on the steering wheel to increase or decrease the gap. Keep in mind that the minimum distance is set to 1.5 seconds, which translates to approximately 43m at 60mph.
