How do I reset the trip meter on my Audi 80?

I recently purchased a used Audi 80 and noticed that the trip meter has not been reset. How can I reset it to track my current trips?

To reset the trip meter on your Audi 80, simply press and hold the trip button located near the speedometer. The meter will reset to zero and you can begin tracking your new trips. If you need additional assistance, refer to your owner's manual.

I have found that disconnecting the battery for a few minutes will also reset the trip meter on my Audi 80. Just make sure to reset the clock afterwards.
