How do I reset the adaptive cruise control in my Audi A6?

I accidentally set the adaptive cruise control too high and now it's making me nervous when driving. How do I reset it to default settings in my Audi A6?

To reset the adaptive cruise control in your Audi A6, begin by pressing the button on the end of the cruise control stalk until the display shows 'Cruise control off'. Then, press the button again and hold it for approximately 3 seconds until the display shows 'Cruise control ready'. Release the button and the cruise control should be reset to default settings.

In order to reset the adaptive cruise control in your Audi A6, start by pushing the stalk button upwards. This will temporarily disable the cruise control while you hold it. Once the display shows 'Cruise control off', release the button and then push it upwards once again, this time holding it down for about 3 seconds. This will reset the cruise control to its default settings.
