How do I reset my MMI (Multi Media Interface) in my Audi A6?

I recently purchased a used Audi A6 and the MMI is displaying an error message. How can I reset it?

The best way to reset your MMI is to press and hold down the function buttons for 3 seconds. After that, you may release the buttons and the MMI will reboot itself.

If the first method does not work, try disconnecting your car battery for 10-15 minutes. This will also reset your MMI system.
