How do I replace the taillights on my Audi A6?

I have noticed that one of my taillights is burnt out. How can I change it myself without having to go to a mechanic?

First, find the correct replacement bulb for your specific year and model of Audi A6. Then, open the trunk and remove the plastic cover on the same side as the burnt out taillight. Next, twist the bulb holder counterclockwise and pull it out, replaced the old bulb with a new one, and then reinsert the bulb holder. Finally, test the taillight to make sure it is working properly.
