How do I replace the suspension shock absorbers on an Audi A2?

I have noticed that my Audi A2's ride has become quite bumpy and I suspect it's due to worn suspension shock absorbers. How can I replace them myself at home?

To replace the suspension shock absorbers on an Audi A2, first make sure you have the correct replacement parts and tools. Jack up the car and remove the wheels. Then, disconnect the shock absorber from the strut and from the control arm. Remove the old absorber and install the new one in its place. Reconnect all the components and repeat for the other side.
