How do I replace the glass on my Audi A2's side mirror?

One day I got home from a long day at work to find that the glass on my Audi A2's side mirror had been cracked by a rogue basketball. How do I go about replacing the glass?

First, carefully remove the broken glass by using a heat gun to soften the adhesive before gently prying it off. Then, clean the adhesive from the mirror housing and apply a new adhesive to the housing. Finally, carefully place the new glass onto the adhesive and press it firmly into place.
