How do I find the VIN on my Audi A8?

I bought my Audi A8 used and need to find the VIN for registration. Where do I locate the VIN on my car?

To find the VIN on your Audi A8, start by standing on the driver's side of your car and looking at the bottom of the windshield. You will see a series of 17 numbers and letters printed on a metal plate. This is your VIN. It can also be found on the door panel on the driver's side.
