ReplyTo enable the Audi Smartphone Interface, first make sure your smartphone is connected to the car's WiFi network. Then, in your Audi MMI Menu, go to 'Audi connect' and select 'Audi Smartphone Interface'. From there, you can connect your device and start using the interface.
I had the same issue with my A8 and it turned out I needed to update my MMI software. Make sure you have the latest software version installed as it often fixes bugs and improves performance.
