How do I check the battery on my Audi A2?

I recently purchased an Audi A2 and I'm not sure how to check the battery. Can someone provide me with steps on how to properly check the battery and what signs to look for if it needs to be replaced?

To check the battery on your Audi A2, first locate the battery in the engine compartment. Make sure the car is turned off and the key is removed from the ignition. Clean any debris or corrosion off the terminals. Then, use a voltmeter to check the voltage of the battery. If it reads below 12 volts, it may need to be replaced.

In addition to using a voltmeter, you can also test the voltage of your battery by starting the car and turning on the headlights. If they appear dim, it may be a sign that the battery needs to be replaced.

Regularly maintaining and cleaning your battery can help prolong its lifespan. Make sure to check the water level, top off with distilled water as needed, and clean any buildup or corrosion from the terminals.
