How do I check my oil in an Audi A4?

I've noticed my oil light has been on for a while and I want to make sure I have enough before taking a long road trip. Can someone please guide me through the steps of checking my oil in my Audi A4?

To check your oil in an Audi A4, start by parking your car on a flat surface and turning off the engine. Open the hood and locate the dipstick, it should be near the front of the engine. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean. Then re-insert the dipstick and pull it out again. The oil level should be between the two markings on the end of the dipstick. If it is low, add more oil. Consult your owner's manual for the correct type and amount of oil to use.
