I need to change the front brake pads on my Audi 80 but I'm not sure where to start. Can someone provide a step-by-step guide?
ReplyFirst, make sure your car is on a level surface and the parking brake is engaged. Then, loosen the lug nuts on the front wheels before jacking up the car and removing the wheels.
Next, remove the caliper bolts and carefully lift the caliper off the rotor. Use a C-clamp to push the caliper piston back in before installing the new brake pads.
Once the new brake pads are installed, reattach the caliper and tighten the bolts. Repeat for the other wheel and then lower the car. Make sure to test your brakes before driving.
