How do I activate the hill hold function in my Audi A1?

I want to know how to use the hill hold function in my Audi A1. Do I need to turn it on manually every time I start the car or is there a way to set it to automatically activate? Can I use it on both manual and automatic transmissions?

To activate the hill hold function, start by pushing down on the brake pedal and engaging the parking brake. Once the car is at a complete stop on an incline, release the brake pedal and the hill hold function will automatically engage. You can also activate it manually by pressing the hill hold button located on the center console. It works for both manual and automatic transmissions.

Did you know that the hill hold function can be adjusted to your preference? You can change how long it holds the brakes, the intensity of the hold, and whether or not it automatically engages at every stop. Check your car's manual for step by step instructions on adjusting these settings.

The hill hold function is a great safety feature, especially for those who are new to driving a manual transmission. Make sure to always double check that it is engaged before starting on a steep incline and remember to release it once you start moving.
