How do I activate the Audi pre sense system in my A8?

I just purchased a new Audi A8 and I want to make sure I am utilizing all of the safety features. I read about the Audi pre sense system but I am not sure how to activate it. Can anyone provide some guidance?

To activate the Audi pre sense system in your A8, press the button located on the center console near the gearshift. The system will then be armed and ready to assist you in the event of a potential collision.

You can also activate the Audi pre sense system through the MMI display by going to the 'Car' menu and selecting 'Driver assist'. From there, you can adjust the sensitivity of the system as well.
