To activate automatic hill hold assist in your Audi A1, simply press and hold the brake pedal for a few seconds until the hill hold icon appears on your dashboard. Keep the brake pedal pressed until you're ready to move forward.

If you have the Audi Drive Select feature, you can also activate hill hold assist through the MMI display. Just go to the Audi Drive Select settings and enable hill hold assist.
