How can you reset the MMI system on an Audi A6?

I've been having some issues with my MMI system and I think a reset might help. How can I reset it and will I lose any personal settings?

To reset the MMI system on your Audi A6, press and hold down the CAR and MENU buttons for about 10 seconds. This will restart the system and should resolve any issues you were experiencing. However, please note that you may lose some personalized settings, so make note of them before resetting.
