How can I troubleshoot the squeaky brakes in my Audi 80?

I have noticed that my Audi 80's brakes are making a squeaky noise whenever I apply them. This noise started occurring only recently. I am not sure what could be causing it and how to fix it. Any advice?

It is likely that your brake pads have worn out, causing the squeaky noise. You will need to replace them to fix the issue.

Sometimes brake dust can accumulate on the brake pads, causing them to make a squeaky noise. Try cleaning them with an appropriate cleaner to see if that solves the issue.

I had a similar issue and it turned out to be a loose brake pad. Make sure to check all the components of your brakes and tighten any loose parts.
