How can I switch off the automatic start-stop function on my Audi A4?

I find the automatic start-stop function on my Audi A4 to be annoying and would like to disable it. Is there a way to do this without affecting other systems on my car?

To turn off the automatic start-stop function on your Audi A4, simply press the 'Auto Start-Stop' button located on the center console near the gearshift. This will deactivate the system and it will not start again until the button is pressed once more. Just make sure to do this every time you start your car.

Alternatively, you can also disable the automatic start-stop function permanently by accessing your car's settings through the MMI system. Go to 'Car' settings, then 'Drive select' and select 'Efficiency'. From there, you can turn off the start-stop system and save it as your preferred drive mode.

If you're worried about the effects of this feature on your car's battery and starter, you can also consider installing a start-stop disable module, which can be easily found online. This will completely deactivate the system and you won't have to worry about manually turning it off every time.
