My Audi A4's windshield wiper blades seem to be out of sync and not wiping properly. What do I need to do to reset them?
ReplyFirst, lift the wiper arm away from the windshield and locate the small tab on the side of the blade. Use a screwdriver to push the tab in and release the blade from the arm. Then, rotate the wiper arm so it's perpendicular to the windshield, and attach the new blade by inserting the tab into the hook on the arm and pressing firmly down. Finally, gently lower the arm back onto the windshield and test the wipers.
Another option is to use the Audi Virtual Cockpit to reset the wiper blades. Simply select the 'Car' menu and navigate to 'Service & Checks.' Find the 'Wiper Blades' option and select 'Reset.' This will automatically recalibrate the wipers and ensure proper functioning.
If you want to avoid replacing the wiper blades, try cleaning them with a mixture of water and vinegar. Soak a soft cloth in the solution and wipe down the blades, making sure to remove any built-up debris. This will help improve the blades' grip and ensure better wiping performance.
