I recently changed the oil on my Audi Q5 and now the oil change reminder light won't turn off. How do I reset it?
ReplyTo reset the oil change reminder on your Audi Q5, turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Press and hold the button on the right side of the instrument cluster until the service menu appears. Use the +/- buttons to scroll through the menu and select the oil change reminder. Press and hold the reset button until the message 'Service Reset?' appears. Release the button and press it again to confirm.
First, make sure the oil and filter were changed correctly and that the correct oil was used. If everything was done correctly and the reminder still won't reset, try disconnecting the car's battery for a few minutes. This may reset the reminder and turn off the light.
If you prefer not to reset the reminder yourself, you can take your Audi to a certified mechanic to have them reset it for you. They will have the necessary tools and knowledge to do it quickly and correctly.
