How can I prevent the headliner from sagging in my Audi A2?

I've noticed my car's headliner starting to sag and I'm not sure what causes it or how to fix it. Any tips or solutions?

This type of issue is common in older cars and can be caused by the adhesive deteriorating over time. The most effective solution would be to completely remove the headliner and reattach it using a high-quality adhesive. Alternatively, you can use thumbtacks or fabric glue to temporarily fix the sagging areas.

One way to prevent headliner sagging is by limiting exposure to excessive heat. Park your car in a shaded area or use a sunshade when parked in direct sunlight. Hot temperatures can weaken the adhesive and cause the headliner to sag.

Regularly cleaning the headliner with a mild detergent and warm water can also help prevent sagging. This removes any dirt or oils that can weaken the adhesive and keep the headliner in good condition.
