How can I prevent my Audi 80 brakes from squeaking?

I recently noticed a high-pitched squeaking noise every time I press on the brakes of my Audi 80. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The most likely cause of squeaking brakes is worn brake pads. It is important to have them replaced as soon as possible to avoid further damage and potential brake failure. My personal advice is to also have the brake rotors and calipers checked for any wear or damage.

Another common cause of squeaking brakes is a build-up of debris or rust on the brake rotors. This can be easily resolved by having the rotors cleaned or resurfaced. My recommendation is to also have the brake pads inspected and replaced if needed.
