How can I fix the blinking check engine light on my Audi 80?

My check engine light on my Audi 80 has been blinking intermittently. It seems to happen more frequently when I accelerate or go over bumps. What could be the cause and how can I fix it?

The blinking check engine light indicates a serious issue with your vehicle's emissions system. It is important to get it checked by a mechanic as soon as possible to prevent any further damage. My advice would be to go to a certified Audi dealership for a diagnosis and repair.

I have experienced the same issue with my Audi 80. The most common cause is a faulty oxygen sensor. I would recommend replacing the sensor and clearing the code to see if that solves the problem. If not, it could be a larger issue such as a malfunctioning ECU.
