How can I enable hill-start assist on my Audi A1?

I recently purchased a pre-owned Audi A1 and noticed it has hill-start assist capabilities. However, I am unsure how to activate it. Can someone provide step-by-step instructions?

To enable hill-start assist on your Audi A1, simply press and hold the brake pedal when stopped on a hill. The system will automatically engage and hold the brakes for a few seconds after you release the brake pedal. It's a handy feature to have, especially in stop-and-go traffic.

You can also turn on hill-start assist in the vehicle settings on your Audi A1. Go to the 'Driver Assistance' menu and select 'Hill hold assist'. Make sure the feature is toggled on and you're good to go. Happy driving!

I've found that the easiest way to activate hill-start assist is by gently releasing the brake pedal while simultaneously pressing on the gas pedal. The system will kick in and prevent the car from rolling back. Just make sure you don't release the brake too quickly, as that may cause the car to move forward suddenly.
