Why is there a knocking sound in my Audi A1's engine?

I have recently noticed a knocking sound coming from my Audi A1's engine. It seems to occur more frequently when the engine is under load. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The knocking sound in your Audi A1's engine could indicate an issue with the fuel injectors. It is important to have them checked and possibly replaced if needed by a qualified mechanic. Also, pay attention to your fuel quality as low quality fuel can cause knocking noises.

Another possible cause of the knocking sound could be a problem with the engine's timing. Have a mechanic check the timing belt and ensure it is properly adjusted.

If you have recently had your car serviced, make sure the right grade of oil was used. Using the wrong grade of oil can lead to knocking sounds in the engine. Double check with the mechanic to ensure the correct oil was used.
