Why is my Audi making a strange clicking noise when I turn on the ignition?

I recently purchased a used Audi A4 and I noticed that when I turn on the ignition, there is a clicking noise coming from the engine. It doesn't happen every time, but it's becoming more frequent. I'm worried it may be a sign of a bigger problem. Has anyone experienced this before?

It sounds like you have a faulty starter motor. This can happen with older Audis or ones that have high mileage. I would recommend taking it to a certified Audi mechanic to have them diagnose and replace it if necessary.

I had a similar issue with my Audi A6. It turned out to be a faulty ignition relay. It's an easy and inexpensive fix, but I would suggest taking it to a mechanic to confirm before replacing anything.
