Why is my Audi A6 making a knocking noise when I turn left?

I just noticed that every time I make a left turn while driving my Audi A6, I hear a strange knocking sound coming from the front of the car. It doesn't happen when I turn right. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Based on your description, it sounds like the problem could be with the CV joint or axle shaft on your left front wheel. It's possible that the joint has worn out and is causing the knocking noise. I recommend taking your car to a mechanic for a thorough inspection and possible replacement.

I had a similar issue with my Audi A6 and it turned out to be a faulty strut mount. This component helps to absorb shock and stabilize the steering, so if it's worn out or damaged, it can cause knocking noises when turning. A mechanic should be able to diagnose and replace it for you.

Another possible cause could be a loose or worn out steering linkage or tie rod. These components help to control the movement of the wheels when turning and if they're damaged or worn, it can result in knocking noises. I recommend having a mechanic check and replace them if necessary.
