Why is my Audi A5's transmission shifting roughly?

Lately, I've noticed that my Audi A5's transmission has been shifting very roughly. It often feels like it's hesitating between gears and the shift points feel jerky. What could be causing this and what can I do to fix it?

Hi Alexandra, it sounds like your A5's transmission may need to be serviced. Rough shifting can be caused by a variety of issues such as low transmission fluid, worn out clutch plates, or a faulty transmission control module. I would recommend taking your car to a certified mechanic to diagnose and fix the issue. It's always better to address transmission problems early on before they become more serious and costly.

Hi Alexandra, make sure to check your transmission fluid levels first. If they are low, that could be causing the rough shifting. If the fluid levels are fine, it's best to take your car to an Audi dealership for a proper diagnosis. They have the specialized tools and expertise to determine the exact cause of your transmission issues and how to fix them.

Hey Alexandra, I had a similar issue with my A5 and it turned out to be a faulty transmission control module. I would recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic who specializes in Audi vehicles. They will be able to properly diagnose and replace the faulty part to get your transmission back to smooth shifting.
