Why is my Audi A4 stalling when I come to a stop?

I've noticed that my Audi A4 has been stalling when I come to a stop at red lights or in traffic. It's very frustrating and I'm worried it could be a sign of a bigger problem. What could be causing this issue?

It's possible that your Audi A4's idle control valve is dirty and needs to be cleaned. This is a common issue and can cause stalling at stops. I would recommend taking your car to a mechanic to have it checked and cleaned.

Another potential cause could be a clogged fuel filter. This can restrict fuel flow to the engine and cause stalling. It's important to regularly replace your fuel filter according to your car's maintenance schedule. You can also try using a fuel system cleaner to see if that helps.

Low levels of transmission fluid can also cause stalling at stops. Check your transmission fluid and top it off if necessary. If the levels are consistently low, you may have a leak and should take your car to a mechanic to have it checked.
