Why does my Audi engine make a strange noise when I accelerate?

I recently purchased a used Audi and I noticed that when I accelerate, there is a strange noise coming from the engine. It sounds like a high-pitched whine. What could be causing this and should I be worried?

It is possible that this noise is coming from a faulty belt or pulley in your engine. It is important to have it checked by a mechanic as soon as possible to prevent further damage.

I had a similar issue with my Audi and it turned out to be a loose exhaust manifold. It's a relatively easy and inexpensive fix, but make sure to get it checked out.

I am not a mechanic, but I have owned several Audi cars and have never encountered this issue. It might be worth taking it to the dealership and having them take a look.
