Why does my Audi engine make a clicking noise?

I recently noticed that my Audi's engine is making a clicking noise when I start it up. It goes away after a few seconds, but I'm worried about the long-term effects on my car. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Hi Samantha, it's common for Audi engines to make a clicking noise on start-up. This is usually due to the hydraulic valve lifters needing to fill up with oil. If the clicking noise persists for more than a few seconds, it could indicate an issue with the oil pressure. I recommend getting your engine checked by a mechanic to ensure everything is running smoothly.
