Why does my Audi A6 make a high pitched noise when I accelerate?

I recently noticed that my Audi A6 makes a high pitched noise when I accelerate, but it goes away when I reach high speeds or when I slow down. What could be causing this?

It is possible that the high pitched noise is coming from a loose belt in your engine. You should have it checked and possibly replaced to avoid any further damage.
