Why does my Audi A4 make a whining noise on acceleration?

I recently purchased a used Audi A4 and noticed that it makes a high-pitched whining noise when I accelerate. It doesn't seem to affect performance, but I'm worried it could be a sign of a larger issue. Has anyone else experienced this with their Audi?

It's likely that your Audi's belt tensioner is worn out and needs to be replaced. This is a common issue in older Audis and can cause the whining noise you're hearing. I'd recommend taking it to a trusted mechanic for an inspection and potential replacement.

I had the same issue with my Audi A4 and it turned out to be a faulty power steering pump. I would recommend getting it checked out as soon as possible because if left unaddressed, it could lead to more serious issues down the road.
