Why does my Audi A2 engine make a loud knocking noise?

I have noticed that my Audi A2 engine has started making a loud knocking noise, especially when I accelerate. I'm concerned that this could be a sign of a bigger issue. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

This could be due to a number of reasons such as worn out engine bearings or a misfiring engine. It's best to take your car to a qualified mechanic to get it checked thoroughly. It's always better to address any potential issues early on before they become bigger and more expensive problems.

I experienced a similar issue with my Audi A2 and it turned out to be a worn out serpentine belt. I would recommend getting it replaced before it completely fails and causes further damage to your engine.

I had the same issue and it was caused by low oil levels. Make sure to check your oil levels regularly and add oil if necessary. If the noise persists, it's best to get it checked by a mechanic.
