I recently purchased a used Audi A1 and have noticed that when I start the engine, there is a noticeable clicking noise. It seems to go away after a few minutes of driving. Is this normal or should I be worried?
ReplyThe clicking noise you are hearing is most likely caused by air being trapped in your engine's valve lifters. This is a common issue in Audi A1 cars and is not harmful. However, if the noise persists for more than a few minutes, it could be a sign of a more serious problem. It's always a good idea to have a mechanic check it out just to be safe.
I had the same issue with my Audi A1 and after doing some research, I found out that it could be due to low oil pressure in the engine. You may want to check your oil levels and make sure they are at the proper level. If not, top it off and see if the noise goes away.
