Why does my Audi A1 make a high-pitched squeaking noise when braking?

I recently purchased a used Audi A1 and noticed that it makes a high-pitched squeaking noise whenever I press on the brakes. The noise seems to be coming from the front of the car. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The high-pitched squeaking noise could be a result of worn-out brake pads. It's important to have them checked and replaced if necessary to avoid potential safety hazards.

It's possible that your brake rotors have become warped, causing the noise. A mechanic should be able to resurface or replace them to resolve the issue.
