When should I change the brake pads on my Audi A1?

I'm wondering when I should change the brake pads on my Audi A1. I've noticed some decrease in braking performance, but I'm not sure if it's time to replace them. Any advice?

It is generally recommended to change brake pads every 50,000 miles. However, if you notice a decrease in braking performance or hear any squeaking or grinding noises, it may be time to change them sooner.

I had to replace my brake pads at around 40,000 miles on my Audi A1. It really depends on your driving habits and terrain. If you drive in heavy traffic or on hilly roads, you may need to replace them more frequently.

I would suggest checking your brake pads every 10,000 miles to see if they are wearing down. It's better to catch it early and replace them before they start causing any issues.
