What to do when my Audi A6 engine starts to overheat?

I've noticed that my Audi A6's engine temperature needle is reaching the red zone, what could be causing this and what should I do?

It could be a problem with your coolant system, check the coolant level and look for any leaks. If everything looks normal, it could be an issue with the radiator or water pump. It's best to take it to a mechanic for a proper diagnosis and repair.

First, turn off your engine and let it cool down before opening the hood. Check the coolant level and see if it is low. If so, top it off with a 50/50 mix of coolant and water. If that doesn't solve the issue, it could be a clogged radiator or a malfunctioning thermostat. It's best to take it to a mechanic for a proper diagnosis and repair.
