I recently acquired an Audi R8 and I've noticed there is an option to enable 'launch control mode' but I'm not sure what it's used for. Can someone explain its purpose and how to properly use it?

To use it, put the car in Sport or Manual mode, hold down the brake, press the accelerator to the floor, and then release the brake. Make sure to have plenty of space and use at your own risk!
As a previous Audi R8 owner, I highly recommend using launch control mode sparingly. Excessive use can put strain on the clutch and transmission. It's best saved for special occasions.
