For your Audi A4, it is recommended to use synthetic oil with a viscosity rating of 5W-40. This will provide optimal protection and performance for your engine. As for how often to change the oil, it is recommended to follow the manufacturer's guidelines, usually every 10,000-12,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first. However, if you frequently engage in stop-and-go driving or harsh conditions, it may be advisable to change the oil more frequently.

I have been using fully synthetic Mobil 1 oil in my own Audi A4 for years and have had great results. It provides excellent protection and keeps my engine running smoothly. As for the frequency of oil changes, I follow the recommended interval of every 10,000-12,000 miles. Just make sure you use a high-quality oil filter as well.

As an Audi mechanic, I recommend using Castrol EDGE synthetic oil for your A4. It is specifically formulated for high-performance engines and can handle even the most extreme driving conditions. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for oil change intervals to keep your engine running at its best.
