What does the Audi A2's Electronic Stability Control do?

I've heard that the Audi A2 has Electronic Stability Control, but I'm not sure what it does. Can you explain its purpose and how it works?

S

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is a system that uses sensors to detect and correct oversteer (when the back end of the car slides out) and understeer (when the front end of the car slides out) in a vehicle. It works by applying individual brakes and reducing engine power to help the driver maintain control of the car in potentially dangerous situations.

J

ESC is a crucial safety feature in modern cars, including the Audi A2. It helps prevent skidding and loss of control, especially in slick or slippery road conditions. It can be especially helpful for new or inexperienced drivers.

E

Make sure to keep your ESC system in good working condition by regularly checking the sensor and brake components. It may also be helpful to practice driving in a safe, open area to get a better feel for how ESC works and how to react in emergency situations.
