What causes the Audi 80 to experience steering wheel vibration at high speeds?

I have noticed that my Audi 80 begins to vibrate noticeably when driving at speeds above 60 mph. What could be the reason for this and how can I address it?

Based on experience, the most common cause of steering wheel vibration at high speeds is uneven tire wear. Have your tires rotated and balanced to help reduce the vibrations. Also, make sure your wheels are properly aligned.

In some cases, the steering wheel vibration can be caused by worn out suspension components. Have a mechanic check and replace any damaged or worn out parts to improve your driving experience.

Another possible cause could be a faulty wheel bearing. This is especially true if the vibration increases when turning. Have a mechanic inspect and replace the damaged bearing.
