I've been using 225/40 R18 tires on my 2019 A1 hatchback and they've been working perfectly for both city and highway driving. Highly recommend this size.
As a long-time Audi owner, I would suggest sticking with the recommended tire sizes for the best performance and safety. Anything bigger or smaller may affect the handling and stability of your vehicle.
