What are the pros and cons of the Audi R8's Quattro system?

I've heard a lot about the Quattro system in the Audi R8. Some say it's the best all-wheel drive system on the market, while others claim it can be a bit of a hindrance. Can anyone with experience owning an Audi R8 weigh in on the pros and cons of the Quattro system?

I've been driving an Audi R8 with Quattro for the past year and I have to say, it's been incredible. The traction and handling are unmatched, especially in inclement weather. I have yet to experience any downsides to the Quattro system.

I recently test drove an Audi R8 with Quattro and while it was great in terms of traction, I did notice a significant decrease in fuel efficiency. The added weight of the system seems to take a toll on the car's performance.

I've had a couple of friends who own Audi R8s with Quattro and they've both had issues with the system failing. It's a pricey fix and can be frustrating to deal with. Personally, I would stick with a rear-wheel drive option.
