Is it necessary to get regular oil changes for the Audi A1?

I've been hearing conflicting opinions about how often I need to get an oil change for my Audi A1. Some say every 3,000 miles, others say every 5,000 miles. What is the recommended interval for oil changes and why?

The recommended interval for oil changes for the Audi A1 is every 10,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first. This is because the A1 uses synthetic oil which lasts longer and performs better than traditional oil.

While the official recommendation is once a year or every 10,000 miles, I personally recommend getting an oil change every 5,000-7,000 miles for optimal engine performance and longevity. It's also a good opportunity to have the mechanic check for any other maintenance that may be needed.

I have an Audi A1 and I only get an oil change every 15,000 miles. My car has been running just fine and it saves me time and money. However, I do make sure to use high-quality synthetic oil to ensure the best performance.
