How to troubleshoot a persistent rattle in my Audi A4?

I've noticed a persistent rattling sound in my Audi A4, but I can't seem to figure out where it's coming from. It happens when driving on bumpy roads, but also at lower speeds. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?
