I recently purchased an Audi A6 and the tire pressure warning light has been constantly on. I have checked the tire pressure and they seem to be at the correct level. How do I reset the warning light?
ReplyFirst, make sure that all the tires are properly inflated according to the recommended pressure in the owner's manual. Then, turn the ignition to the 'On' position without starting the engine. Press and hold the reset button located next to the warning light for about 10 seconds until the light flashes three times. Release the button and then turn off the ignition. Start the engine and the warning light should be reset.
If the above method does not work, you may need to manually recalibrate the tire pressure monitoring system. Locate the TPMS button, usually located near the driver's side door. With the car in Park, press and hold the TPMS button until the light flashes twice. This should recalibrate the system and turn off the warning light.
