I am having trouble with my Audi A8's MMI system. Sometimes it freezes or stops responding, and I have to turn my car off and on again to reset it. Is there a specific way to reset the MMI without having to turn off the car?
ReplyIn order to reset the MMI on your Audi A8, you can do a soft reset by pressing the NAV and RADIO buttons together for 10 seconds. If that doesn't work, you can also try disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it.
Have you tried resetting the system through the settings menu? That's another option that may work for you. If not, I suggest taking your car to a certified Audi technician for further assistance.
I've had the same issue with my Audi A8's MMI before. Personally, I find that doing the soft reset works best for me. But if it continues to be a problem, you may want to consider updating the MMI firmware or taking it to a dealership for a check-up.
