I have a 2020 Audi A5 and I've noticed that the engine automatically shuts down after 30 seconds of being idle. Is there a way to disable this feature?
ReplyYes, you can disable this feature by going into your car's settings and accessing the 'Auto Start-Stop' option. From there, you can turn off the feature completely or set it to only activate in certain situations.
To disable the auto engine shutdown on your Audi, you can also press and hold the 'A/C' and 'Auto' buttons on your climate control system simultaneously for 5 seconds. This will bring up a menu where you can toggle the start-stop system off.
Unfortunately, there is no way to permanently disable the auto engine shutdown in newer Audi models. However, you can deactivate it each time you start your car by pressing the 'Start-Stop' button on your dashboard.
